Open Frame – Bringing Talents Together

Book here

Open Frame hosted by one and only Camille Holder is an inclusive and inspiring arts event that showcases the work of talented disabled artists. It’s a space where creativity takes centre stage—welcoming people of all backgrounds to experience, share and celebrate artistic work in a supportive environment.

At its core, Open Frame is about shifting perspectives. Rather than focusing on barriers, it highlights skill, imagination and individuality across a wide range of art forms, including visual art, music, performance, writing and digital media. The event encourages connection, collaboration and a sense of shared creative energy.

Open Frame invites everyone including artists, friends, families and the wider community — to come together and experience art in a way that feels open, accessible and engaging. Through exhibitions, live performances, talks and informal networking, artists are given the opportunity to present their work on their own terms and connect directly with audiences.

By creating an environment built on access and inclusion, Open Frame celebrates difference, amplifies underrepresented voices and demonstrates the power of creativity when everyone is given space to be seen and heard.

What to Expect on the Day

From the moment you arrive, you’ll step into a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere designed with accessibility in mind. The venue offers step-free access, clear signage, quiet areas and flexible seating, ensuring a comfortable experience for all visitors. Gentle lighting and ambient music help create a calm, creative setting.

Throughout the space, you’ll find a curated display of artwork—including painting, photography, mixed media and digital pieces. Each work is accompanied by the artist’s name and a short statement, offering insight into their inspiration and creative process.

Alan was born in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, in 1951 and educated at Tanglin School in Singapore, where he won the Henry Yates Thompson Art Prize—his first brush with creative recognition. In 1969, he moved to Paris to pursue graphic design, drawn by the city’s artistic spirit. Though his career later shifted to finance, leading to senior corporate roles and ultimately service as Lord Mayor of London (2014–15) with a knighthood in 2016, Alan has always carried an artist’s perspective. From Parisian sketches to travels with his wife Gilly—once spanning 28 countries in a single year—his story is marked by creativity, adaptability, and a belief that humour and luck are as vital as hard work.
